Vodítka psychosociální podpora pro pracovníky uniformovaných složek

Source(s): Impact - Dutch knowledge & advice centre for post-disaster psychosocial care

Source(s): Impact - Dutch knowledge & advice centre for post-disaster psychosocial care

Legal aspects of International disaster response in Dutch emergencies and crisis situations

Source(s): Netherlands Red Cross

The purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which the legal, administrative and operational framework for disaster response within the Netherlands is able to facilitate potential international relief into its territory, in the event of a large-scale disaster requiring such assistance from beyond its borders. Using the Guidelines for the Domestic Facilitation and Regulation of International Disaster Relief and Initial Recovery Assistance (IDRL Guidelines), adopted in 2007 at the 30th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, the report recommends a number of possible actions by which the domestic disaster framework may be further strengthened in relation to potential incoming international assistance.

A number of professions run a heightened risk of coming into contact with potentially traumatic events. Military personnel is often mentioned in this respect, but for example policemen and fire fighters are also at risk of coming into contact with events of a sudden, unexpected and violent nature. To improve psychosocial support to uniformed workers, a set of guidelines has been developed in the Netherlands. The purpose of the preamble you have before you is to add European value to these Guidelines for Psychosocial Support for Uniformed Workers.
